We are looking for motivated individuals who want to develop as leaders to join our senior nursing team on the Acute Medical Unit. This is an exciting time to join AMU with future developments. You will be responsible for coordinating the Unit, and managing flow through the department, whilst supporting the team to deliver quality care in meeting the acute and changing needs of our patients:

Person Specification

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Nurse
• Teaching Qualification, SLIP/Mentorship
• Deteriorating Adults Course

Experience

• Demonstrable experience within relevant specialities
• 2 years minimum Acute medical experience
• Previous acting Band 6 roles
• Shadowing the co-ordinator shifts

Knowledge

• Understand the importance of admissions and discharges
• Understand the roles of the Emergency department co-ordinator & the Clinical Site Team
