Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen on Waters Ward at Bridlington Hospital for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to support the Ward Manager in a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse role.

The successful candidate should be passionate about delivering effective stroke and general rehabilitation and possess the skills to support their team in providing high-quality, patient-centred care. Excellent communication skills and a drive to implement improvement projects to facilitate positive change for patients and staff are essential.

Additional Information
  1. Interviews will be held in person ONLY at the hospital site; remote interviews are not available.
  2. For registered roles, the validity of Nursing and Midwifery Council PIN will be checked before shortlisting. Inaccuracies in NMC PIN details will result in the application not being progressed.
  3. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact the Recruiting Manager for an informal discussion about the role.
  4. Assist the Ward Leader in the effective management of the ward.
  5. Provide nursing leadership to ensure an effective, high-quality nursing service, maintaining standards of care and patient safety in conjunction with the Ward Leader.
  6. Promote a culture of reflective practice within the team.
  7. Manage risks and address demands that arise on the ward.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and staff.
  9. Support service development initiatives to meet patient needs continually.
  10. Assist the Ward Leader with incident reporting and investigations.
  11. Undertake clinical audits.
  12. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to improve SSNAP data.
