An outstanding secondary school in Croydon is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy SENCo to join their exceptional team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and furthering an inclusive educational environment. You will play a key role in leading and enhancing SEN provision, ensuring that every student receives the tailored support they need to thrive.

As the Deputy SENCo, you will support the SENCo in overseeing the school’s SEN strategy, including developing and implementing individualized learning plans, collaborating with staff, and ensuring that the needs of students with SEN are fully met. You will help lead a dynamic team of support staff and work closely with parents, external agencies, and other key stakeholders to ensure that all students receive the best possible education.

  • A strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and the ability to implement effective SEN strategies
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to guide and support a team
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with staff and external partners
  • Enhanced DBS check required
