An NHS Trust is seeking a Deputy Security Manager to ensure the delivery of effective security services across multiple locations in Manchester. The role involves working closely with the Security and Car Parking Manager to implement security policies and provide expert advice, ensuring the safety of staff, patients, and assets. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and significant experience in security management, aiming to uphold high security standards within the Trust.
Job summary
To ensure that Security Services are delivered for the Trust in a compliant and cost effective manner.
To work with the Security and Car Parking Manager (WTWA) in ensuring that the security services meet the highest level of service and provide effective services in order to protecting life, property, Trust assets and staff/patients.
As a Deputy Security Manager you will support the site Security & Car Parking Manager with interpreting national guidance and policy and to lead on the implementation of local policies, procedures and guidance on behalf of the organisation in respect of security management matters.
To act as the key point of contact for both staff within the organisation, providing them with expert support and externally as the lead point of communication and reporting on these matters.
To support the security management agenda ensuring that suitable and sufficient risk assessments are undertaken and recorded and co-ordinate and provide expert risk assessment and advice in accordance with Health and Safety legislation.
You will be expected to have an exceptionally high level of interpersonal and communication skills. You will regularly communicate with Senior/Director level staff within external NHS and non-NHS partners, the emergency services and a variety of Governmental/Regional and Local bodies.
Main duties of the job1. Ensure that Security Services are delivered to the required specification and standard (monitoring against contract).
2. Liaise with service users to ensure that Security Services are provided with appropriate advice and information on the scope of the service specification.
3. To provide specialist advice on Security Services to ensure that services are provided and developed in a way to be consistent with the Trust's strategic plans and future objectives.
4. To support the national framework required for the local delivery of professional and highly skilled security management work to allow the organisation to ensure the safety and security of staff employees, patients, visitors and the protection of Trust property.
