Job Description:

TARCG is proud to be supporting a respected aviation organisation in their search for a Deputy Safety and Compliance Manager. This is a rare opportunity for a dedicated safety professional to step into a key role that contributes directly to the safety, compliance, and operational excellence of a growing aviation business.

You’ll play a vital part in the Safety and Compliance function—carrying out audits, supporting regulatory administration, and working hands-on with teams across the organisation to drive continuous improvement. You will also provide essential support to the Safety and Compliance Manager, with the expectation to step in and represent them when required.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the company’s internal and external audit plan in line with aviation compliance requirements.
  • Support departmental leaders in identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain and administer regulatory manuals, company policies, and procedural documentation to ensure alignment with competent authority regulations (e.g., CAA, EASA).
  • Assist in managing the issuance and control of company authorisations.
  • Contribute to higher-level occurrence investigations as needed.
  • Deputise for the Safety and Compliance Manager when necessary, ensuring continuity of compliance leadership.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within the aviation sector.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory document administration.
  • Familiarity with aircraft and/or engine maintenance operations.
  • Strong IT skills and excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Confidence liaising with regulatory bodies, such as the CAA.
  • A flexible, proactive attitude with the ability to travel as needed.
  • Qualification in auditing and/or project management.
  • Previous experience in aviation quality assurance.
  • Understanding of health and safety in an aviation environment.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

What’s on Offer:

  • Location: Primarily based at HQ in Northampton with regular travel to other UK bases (including Northern Ireland). One remote work day per week available when not travelling.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Salary: Competitive and negotiable, depending on experience.
  • Company pension scheme (5% contribution after probation)
  • Death in Service cover (3x salary)
  • Income Protection Scheme (after 6 months)

If you meet the above requirements and would like to be considered for this role, please send your updated resume to Vicki Senner at [emailprotected]
