Job summary

Muddy Boots is a nature-focused nursery group operating in York and Leeds. We are looking for a passionate Deputy Room Leader to join a nurturing team where educators enjoy a 4-day week and are paid in the top 10% locally, with opportunities to grow across our settings.

As Deputy Room Leader, you will work closely with the Room Leader to deliver high-quality, nature-based learning experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence and independence for children in our care.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Level 3 Early Years Educator is preferred.
• Ability to deliver learning activities with a focus on outdoor play.
• Commitment to safeguarding and creating inclusive environments.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging learning activities, with a strong focus on outdoor play and exploration.
• Observing, assessing and supporting children's individual learning journeys.
• Acting as a key person and building strong, trusting relationships with families.
• Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
• Working collaboratively as part of a positive, supportive team.
• Taking responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in your care.
