Warrington Borough Council seeks a permanent Deputy Registrar / Administrator for their Registration Service. Warrington Registration Service plays a part in some of the most important moments in the lives of our residents. We seek the appointment of a permanent Deputy Registrar / Administrator to fill this key role in our organisation to help maintain our high standards of service delivery.
As Deputy Registrar / Administrator you will register births, stillbirths, and deaths and register and conduct marriages, civil partnerships and Citizenship ceremonies. You will attest notices of marriage and civil partnership. You will provide essential administrative support to the service which will include assisting customers, answering correspondence, answering phone calls, covering reception, booking appointments and ceremonies, searching and maintaining indexes and producing copy certificates.
You will be well organised with good IT skills, possess integrity and sensitivity and be able to work on your own initiative but also be a team player. Accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality are key factors to this demanding frontline role.
