We are seeking a passionate and dedicated deputy principal to join our collaborative senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role with a specific focus on leading our school’s pastoral care systems and overseeing our learning support programmes as our Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO).

The ideal candidate will be a leader who:

  • Builds positive, authentic relationships with students, staff, and whānau with ease and genuine care.
  • Is an unwavering advocate for student well-being, with a deep understanding of pastoral needs in a modern school environment.
  • Is passionate about inclusive education and has the skills to lead and coordinate support for our diverse learners.
  • Possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and clarity.

A strong commitment to culturally responsive practice is essential. A developing knowledge of Te Ao Māori and a commitment to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi will be a significant advantage in helping us achieve our vision.
