Deputy Practice Manager (progression to Practice Manager)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for adynamic and motivated Deputy Practice Manager to join our friendly andprogressive GP practice. This role offers a clear development pathway to becomethe Practice Manager, making it ideal for an ambitious individuallooking to take the next step in their career.

Working closely with the current PracticeManager and partners, you will support the smooth and efficient running of thepractice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient services and theeffective management of our administrative and support teams.

Main duties of the job
  • Support the Practice Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the practice.
  • Support financial processes, including payroll, invoicing and budget monitoring.
  • Assist with HR processes.
  • Assume responsibility for facilities management
  • Help maintain compliance with CQC, NHS and other statutory and contractual obligations.
  • Contribute to service improvement, patient engagement and practice development projects.
  • Assist with policies, audits and preparation for inspections.
  • Deputise for the Practice Manager in their absence, with a view to transitioning into the Practice Manager role.

Manor Brook Medical Practice is awell-established practice serving approximately 12,500 patients. We arecommitted to delivering high quality, patient centred care and fostering apositive and collaborative working culture for our staff. We enjoy a positive relationship and workclosely with 3 other practices within our PCN.Our clinical team comprises GPs, a nursing team, clinical pharmacists,first contact physios, a mental health practitioner, social prescribers andcare co-ordinators. We are also atraining practice, supporting GP registrars, medical students and studentnurses.

Person Specification
Experience

  • Proficiency with IT systems; experience with EMIS or similar clinical systems is desirable.
  • Proactive, flexible and resilient with a patient-focused approach.
  • Eager to develop and progress into a Practice Manager role.
