An independent NHS services provider is seeking a Deputy Practice Manager at Pond Tail Surgery, Godstone. In this role, you will manage administrative teams, ensure patient care and compliance, and lead service developments. The ideal candidate has relevant experience, strong organization and communication skills, and the ability to manage diverse teams. An exciting opportunity has arisen at Pond Tail Surgery, Godstone, for a Deputy Practice Manager to join our team. From 1 January 2022, it has been managed by Dorking Healthcare, who run a wide range of NHS services, always to a high standard and focused on patient care. This provides an opportunity for an experienced team leader or manager to make a real difference for the local population. The Deputy Practice Manager will work closely with the Practice Manager and play a crucial role in line managing the Reception and Administration teams, managing the rotas for clinical staff, ensuring there are appropriate levels of patient care, managing room allocations and also managing the governance and compliance processes within the practice. The practice has an enthusiastic team who are committed to developing the practice and providing first-class services for our patients. The Deputy Practice Manager will play a key role in leading the team through these developments. We are seeking someone to work a minimum of 30 hours per week in this role.
It is essential that the post holder has previous successful experience in a similar role, is able to work independently and be solutions-focused. The successful candidate must have strong computer skills and be an experienced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). The person must also be very organised, working calmly and efficiently whilst also willing to be flexible and multi-task whilst not losing sight of key priorities. They must also be able to work confidently with a diverse group of people at all levels of the organisation and must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills. They must have the ability to present information at staff meetings. They must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
DHC GP Federation is a patient-focused and proactive community-based independent provider of NHS services with strong links to all the GPs working within our Federation of 7 Primary Care Networks, including 19 GP Practices across Surrey from Epsom and Dorking to Godstone. DHC was awarded the contract to run Pond Tail, Godstone GP Practice from 1st January 2022 and has recruited additional administrative and clinical staff to increase the team of staff working within the Practice to re-establish the service after a period of considerable change.
