This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join our Perinatal Governance team here at Gloucestershire Hospitals Trust, in the role of Deputy Perinatal Governance and Quality Midwife.
The post-holder will work with the Perinatal Governance and Quality Lead Midwife to develop, implement, and monitor patient safety and quality pathways, focusing on maintaining high standards of care and compliance with national and local standards. They will ensure all post-incident processes are completed, emerging themes are identified, shared, and recommendations are implemented in line with PSIRF. Under the leadership of the Perinatal Governance Lead Midwife, they will develop and sustain programmes to meet the outcomes set by regulatory bodies such as CQC, NHS England, NHS Resolution, and other relevant frameworks.
The post-holder will support a proactive risk management culture, promoting informed questioning, positive challenge, data-informed analysis, and assurance. They will lead risk management and quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with national and local programmes.
They will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with schemes like the maternity incentive scheme and NHS England's delivery plans, and support the Project Manager of NHSR Scheme and related projects. They will oversee activities supporting compliance and influence staff at all levels to improve patient outcomes and experience.

Salary: £53,755 to £60,504 per year (pro-rata if part-time)
