Job description

Deputy Payroll Manager - Permanent - London - Hybrid - up to £85,000 per annum

Oakleaf Partnership is delighted to be partnered with a reputable company, looking for an experienced payroller, on a permanent basis. This role will be responsible for the BAU, and the leadership and management of the Payroll team, on a hybrid basis, based in their central London office.

The Deputy Payroll Manager will be assisting/overseeing duties such as:

  1. Lead the payroll team to support the payroll function, spanning the EMEA regions.
  2. Lead global payroll strategies and collaborate with local People teams.
  3. Responsible for looking at current processes and finding solutions to ensure that they are the most efficient, automated, and accurate way of working.
  4. Record, analyse, investigate and resolve all payroll queries and reporting to the relevant persons.
  5. Responsible for completing year end procedures and payments, in an accurate and timely manner, including final amendments.
  6. Direct management of 5.
  7. Develop and implement best practices, key performance indicators.
  8. Coach, mentor and provide leadership development to team members to optimise operational excellence.

Key Skills:

  1. Experience in leading and developing a team in payroll processing. Minimum of 7 years experience of UK & EMEA payroll management.
  2. Experience in managing outsourced third-party payroll providers.
  3. Analytically driven and responsible for creating innovative solutions to support the business.
  4. Excellent communication skills.
