Deputy Pathology Manager

Brighton Hospital | Permanent | Full Time

Salary up to £48,500.00 per annum (depending on experience)

37.5 hours per week

We’re looking for a confident and motivated healthcare professional with strong leadership skills and a solid background in pathology to join us as Deputy Pathology Manager at our Brighton Hospital. You will be a collaborative, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a regulated environment and brings positivity and professionalism to a high-performing team.

As our Deputy Pathology Manager, you will:

  • Supervise and support pathology staff in the day-to-day operation of the department

  • Lead on work scheduling, rotas, and workforce planning

  • Contribute to recruitment, performance reviews, appraisals, and absence management

  • Support and oversee training, development, and mentoring of the team

  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, quality standards, and audit frameworks

  • Attend key management meetings including the Integrated Governance Committee

  • Hold a current HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council) – essential for this role

Our facilities include 44 purpose built en-suite rooms, three operating theatres and an endoscopy theatre. Other facilities include physiotherapy, health screening, diagnostics and a dental suite. We are located in Woodingdean, on the east side of Brighton with easy access by rail and road, including free parking
