Job Title: Deputy Nursing Home Manager
Location: Hadleigh
Salary: £50,000
As the Deputy Nursing Home Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the Home Manager in the day-to-day operations of a 50-bedded nursing dementia home. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the delivery of high-quality care, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and supervision of the nursing home, ensuring a safe and caring environment for residents.
- Support the Home Manager in implementing policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of healthcare professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Conduct regular assessments and reviews of resident care plans, ensuring they meet individual needs.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Manage staff scheduling, recruitment, and training to ensure adequate coverage and professional development.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, families, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Handle administrative duties, including budgeting, financial management, and reporting.
Qualifications and Skills
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
- Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
- The ability to engage with the service users to understand their needs in order to provide excellent services of care.
- Ability to identify referral pathway for safeguarding adult/abuse.
- Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
- The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors and staffing team.
- Ability to promote ownership of care programs by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programs within the home.
