This setting is looking for a full-time, qualified Practitioner to join our Early Years Team as a Deputy Manager. Located less than 10 minutes' walk from Herne Hill station, with convenient transport links to London.
Role Details:
- The role will be partly office-based and partly room-based, with active involvement in the nursery, not purely administrative.
- The nursery caters to children from 3 months to 5 years old, operating from 7 am to 7 pm, 51 weeks a year.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging activities for children aged 3 months to 5 years
- Lead and develop the nursery, contributing to its growth and success
- Assist in daily operations, financial management, recruitment, and staff training
- Partner with the Nursery Manager to ensure high standards of care
- Follow EYFS and Ofsted guidance, ensuring appropriate provisions and resources
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
- Record and share children's progress with parents and carers
- Support and guide the nursery team to deliver quality learning
- Maintain safety, hygiene, and safeguarding standards
Requirements:
- Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification (essential)
- Experience working with children, preferably in a leadership role
- Passion for engaging and fun learning experiences
- Effective communication skills with children and adults
- Strong knowledge of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and Early Years Framework
