Qualifications

Job description

Banana Moon Day Nurseries is committed to providing high-quality early years education and care. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Nursery Manager in leading our dedicated staff and ensuring that our children receive the best possible experience in a safe and nurturing environment.

As the Deputy Nursery Manager, your responsibilities will include assisting with day-to-day operations, implementing educational programs, and maintaining high standards of care and safety. You will also help to foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff, and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Nursery Manager with the overall management of the nursery.
  • Ensure the nursery meets all regulatory requirements and follows health and safety guidelines.
  • Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and training where necessary.
  • Plan and organize age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
  • Maintain strong relationships with parents and caregivers, addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to enhance nursery practices and standards.
  • 40 hours per week, 7.30am -6.30pm with a set day off per week.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early years education, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for nurturing children's development. If you are dedicated, enthusiastic, and looking to make a positive impact on children's lives, we would love to hear from you.

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within an early years setting.
  • Thorough understanding of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current DBS clearance and safeguarding training.
