Job summary

Willingcare is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager (Maternity Cover) for a warm, OFSTED-rated nursery in the UK. You will support the Nursery Manager, lead a dedicated team, and ensure EYFS standards while promoting excellent learning and care for toddlers and pre-school children.

The role requires Level 3 Early Years qualification or above and senior nursery experience, with strong leadership, safeguarding knowledge and superb organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification or above – essential.
• Previous senior experience within a nursery setting – essential.
• Experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager, Third in Charge, or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• A child-centred approach with a passion for supporting development and school readiness.
• Ability to motivate and support a team to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery.
• Leading and motivating the team to deliver exceptional care and education.
• Ensuring high standards are maintained in line with EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
