Overview

Deputy Nursery Manager. Full time position. Immediate start. Up to £13.35 per hour (negotiable depending on experience). Salford area. Permanent role in a brand-new setting.

Premier Education is delighted to be working with a wonderful nursery in the Salford area, set within a beautiful Grade II Listed building. They are currently looking to appoint a Deputy Nursery Manager to support the leadership team in running this exciting new site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong early years leadership experience who is ready to take the next step in their career. You\'ll play a key role in supporting the Nursery Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery, staff supervision, and ensuring the highest standards of care and education for children aged 0-5 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily running of the setting.
• Support, mentor and inspire staff across all rooms.
• Help with rota management, staff deployment, and ensuring ratios are always maintained.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external agencies.
• Ensure the nursery remains fully compliant with safeguarding, Ofsted and EYFS requirements.
• Lead by example in delivering high-quality childcare and early education.
• Step up in the absence of the Nursery Manager.

Qualifications and qualities

• Has previous experience in a leadership or management role within Early Years.
• Holds a relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3 or above, ideally Level 5/degree).
• Can juggle lots of tasks and priorities with ease.
• Has a warm, approachable and professional manner.
• Can inspire and motivate staff, while creating a nurturing environment for children.
• Can enthusiastically eat and drink pretend food and drinks (still essential!).
• Is ready to bring fun, energy and creativity into the workplace.
