St James Prep School is a co-educational IAPS day Prep and Nursery School for children aged 2-11. An oasis of calm in bustling Kensington, the school is resourced with enviable outside space (including a forest school), a fully-resourced teaching kitchen, science labs and an ICT Suite.

Our Nursery
The Nursery is a bright open-plan space with access to its own little adventure playground, mud kitchen and sandpit, as well as the little forest in the park.
Thanks to a varied curriculum and specialist teaching in Performing Arts, Music and Language, your child will have the chance to develop their own unique talents in a nurturing and inspiring environment.
Overview
We are looking for a creative, caring and passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to join our dynamic team. You will have a robust knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, coupled with good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. You must be highly motivated and have a positive attitude towards working with children.
You will be someone who is not afraid to share a comforting hug when it’s needed, confidently sing (whether perfectly on pitch or not) in front of others, and happily get involved in messy outdoor play - mud pies included! You’ll join in with imaginative games, enjoy pretend tea parties, bringing joy and enthusiasm to every interaction.
Most importantly, you’ll help create a welcoming and inspiring environment where every child can flourish. In return, you’ll become a cherished part of many children’s lives and their families, experiencing the special bond that makes this role so rewarding.
Hours of work: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Year Round.
