Job summary

Bright Horizons Shortlands Day Nursery and Pre School is seeking a Deputy Manager in Bromley to lead a team, oversee daily operations and act as Designated Safeguarding Lead. You will drive safeguarding, staff development, and partnerships with families and professionals.

The role requires a Level 3+ Early Years qualification and leadership experience, with a focus on maintaining Good/Outstanding outcomes and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience in an Early Years leadership role.
• Experience with regulatory inspections resulting in Good or Outstanding.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to build trust with colleagues, parents and professionals.
• Ability to make confident decisions and lead others.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver high-quality care and education.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead and manage safeguarding policies.
• Support succession planning, training and professional development plans.
• Maintain partnerships with parents, colleagues and Local Authority.
• Support nursery commercial success through retention, occupancy growth and budgets.
