Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Nurse Deputy Home Manager to work in an exceptional nursing home in Weymouth, Dorset. The home specializes in general & dementia nursing, residential, and respite care for the elderly and is rated 'Good' by CQC.

To be considered, you must be a qualified Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC Pin.

As Deputy Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and deputising for the Home Manager, providing leadership to nursing and care staff, and overseeing high-quality care delivery.
  • Utilizing your nursing, managerial, and leadership skills.
  • Focusing on residents with complex needs, ensuring compliance with guidelines, making informed decisions, and maintaining clinical governance through audits.
  • Developing care plans and assessments.
  • Providing personalized, resident-centered care.

Preferred skills and experience include:

  • Proven leadership in care home settings, delivering person-centered care.
  • Experience with clinical assessments and care planning.
  • Ability to engage with residents and their families to understand and meet their needs.
  • Good knowledge of CQC standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, professionals, and families.

The successful Deputy Manager will receive an annual salary of £55,000. This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week from 9am to 5pm. Benefits include:
