A day in the life of…
As Deputy Nights Manager, you will support the Night Manager in overseeing all hotel operations during the night shift. This includes ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining safety and security procedures, and providing leadership and support to the front office and nights team. You will act as the senior manager on duty in the absence of the Night Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Night Manager with the smooth operation of the hotel overnight.
- Oversee guest arrivals, departures, and late-night requests to ensure a welcoming experience.
- Conduct nightly audits and ensure all financial reporting is accurate and compliant.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage teams to meet overnight operational needs.
- Handle any incidents, complaints, or emergencies professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure security and safety procedures are followed throughout the property.
- Coach and support night team members, promoting a culture of service excellence.
What do we need from you?
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality, preferably in front office or nights.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Calm under pressure and able to manage challenging situations independently.
- Confident communicator with a proactive, guest-focused approach.
- Familiarity with Opera or similar hotel management systems is an advantage.
