Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.

You will be a highly motivated individual who will work with another Site Deputy Medical Education Manager to assist the Site Medical Education Manager with the development, organisation, management and delivery of high-quality education and training for all medical staff (including medical students).
The medical education team works closely with our Site Director of Medical Education (Site DME), Specialty Tutors, Site Undergraduate Sub Deans, Senior Educators, Clinical Teaching Fellows, medical workforce and finance colleagues, medical schools, Royal Colleges and NHS England East of England (NHS EoE). The medical education team is also involved in the continuous professional development of GPs and hospital doctors.
You will be required to deputise for the Site Medical Education Manager and represent the department and the organisation at meetings with various stakeholders including NHSE EoE and affiliated medical schools.
The ability to manage own time and workload effectively, ensuring demands and objectives are prioritised and delivered.
May close early due to number of applications.
Main duties of the job
This role would be ideal for an experienced administrator, ideally with previous experience of working within the field of medical education. Additional requirements will include:
• Excellent IT skills - including advanced Excel, Word and Outlook
• Experience of managing varied and high-volume workload
• Prioritisation and experience of working to deadlines
• Flexibility and strong team player
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
• Ability to effectively communicate difficult messages when needed.
• Able to adapt to change and effectively manage the communication of the change to team members.
• Ability to adapt communication style to suit the situation and individual.
• Identify new and emerging business development and income generation opportunities.
• To assist the medical education manager with the implementation and monitoring of quality standards in line with terms of contracts
• Ability to analyse reports and extract relevant data where needed.
• Able to take action on data received and complete the necessary tasks required.
