Job summary
Applications are welcome for a full time (10PA), substantive Deputy Medical Director at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a key post to support the Medical Director providing Clinical Leadership across the organisation. It is anticipated that the post holder will provide system leadership for mental and physical health, developing relationships with key partners along with the Medical Director.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will work closely with the Medical Director and Associate Medical Directors. Other key relationships will be with the Director of Medical Education, Chief Clinical Information Officer, Chief Psychological Professions Officer, Chief Pharmacist and the Director of Research.
The deputy medical director post will hold responsibility for patient safety (2 days), wider across the medical portfolio to be agreed yearly including Integrated Improvement Plan responsibilities (2 days) and 1 day of clinical work to be agreed.
The deputy medical director will also provide day to day line management of the CCIO, CPPO, Chief Pharmacist and Head of Research, supported by the Medical Director.
