About the Opportunity

Our client is a premier, privately owned financial services group administering over $80bn in assets across multiple jurisdictions. Backed by highly respected family office capital, they specialise in cutting-edge fund, corporate, and fiduciary services.

As the Deputy Managing Director, you will serve as the internal and operational anchor for Jersey. Partnering closely with the Managing Director, you will translate high-level commercial ambition into disciplined operational execution. This position is strategically designed as part of a structured succession plan, offering a direct pathway to the Jersey Managing Director role for the right leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Support the MD in defining jurisdictional strategy; translate goals into clear, actionable priorities across private wealth and institutional business lines.
• Operational Excellence: Drive day-to-day business operations, optimize processes for scalability, and lead the smooth integration of legacy and acquired businesses into a unified operating model.
• Financial Performance: Partner with the MD and Financial Controller to deliver revenue and profitability targets, enforce strict fee discipline, and optimize utilization and cost controls.
• Governance & Risk: Sit as a Director on local boards; ensure absolute compliance with Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) regulations and corporate risk frameworks.
• People & Culture: Lead, mentor, and upskill cross-functional teams, cultivating a collaborative, high-performance environment aligned with group values.
• Client & Market Development: Oversee high-value client relationships and key intermediaries, stepping in as a director on complex client structures when required.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualifications: Fully qualified professional holding a relevant designation in accountancy, law, or trust practices (e.g., STEP, ICSA/CGI, ACA, ACCA, LLB).
• Leadership Experience: Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience within fiduciary or fund services, including at least 5 years operating at Board level.
• Regulatory Expertise: Deep, practical understanding of the Jersey regulatory landscape and a proven track record dealing with industry bodies and regulators.
• Execution Mindset: A proactive, "get-things-done" leader who thrives under pressure and prioritizes collective business outcomes over individual metrics.
