We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our residential team on a full-time contract working in a rewarding role supporting children and young people with disabilities who reside in the home full time.
The role of the Deputy Manager will be to deputise for the Registered Manager (RM) in taking full responsibility for managing the home within the framework of current legislation. To ensure the delivery of a high-quality residential service for disabled children within the overall policy of the Department (as defined by the National Care Standards Commission- minimum standards for Children’s Homes).
The home aims to do this by creating a warm, fun, caring home environment. Ensuring children’s voices, opinions and feelings are heard and advocating for the children we care for. The home provides care for up to 3 children at a time with varied needs. Each child is supported as an individual. Their needs and strengths are considered by the staff team who tailor their support and care to each child.
This role will help develop your managerial skills and provide valuable experience working directly and build relationships with vulnerable young people/children.
The position requires the ability to work shifts, including being on shift on weekends (fortnightly), bank holidays and evening working.
The home is currently located in Hengrove but will be moving to its new location Summer 2026 in Henbury.
You will work within a multi-disciplinary service, working alongside social workers, Occupational Therapist's, Education provisions, parents and carers to ensure the best service is offered for the children we care for.
