About Us

Our Northamptonshire service in Rushden is a 24/7 Specialist Supported Living service for people with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities. There are eight fully self-contained flats for individuals who will be supported in a core and cluster model of support – a core team of day and night support workers alongside individualised support packages of 1:1 support hours

There are six additional flats for individuals on transitional support plans. These individuals enter these flats with the intention of moving away from 24/7 supported living when they feel prepared. They will receive ongoing support for a flexible duration aimed at enhancing their daily living skills, thereby facilitating their journey toward greater independence. By working closely with individuals and undergoing regular assessments, this journey will remain adaptable, with our approach of accommodating the person’s wishes, needs, and considerations as the focal point of our transitional support.

What You’ll Do

As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the daily operations of our supported living services. You’ll lead and inspire a team of support staff, ensuring that we deliver outstanding care and support in line with regulatory standards (CQC/CIW). We offer you the autonomy and responsibility to make a difference while developing your leadership skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by Example: Manage, inspire, and motivate a team of support workers. You’ll be hands-on, supporting them while creating a positive, inclusive work culture where everyone thrives.
  • Service Coordination: Oversee the daily operations of our services, ensuring person-centred care is delivered and that we comply with CQC/CIW regulations. Your organizational skills will be key to ensuring smooth operations.
  • Rota Management: You’ll take charge of scheduling to ensure that we have the right people in the right places, keeping staffing levels flexible and efficient.
  • Quality Control: Conduct audits and assessments, ensuring that we continue to meet the highest standards. You’ll be the driving force in maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Supportive Leadership: Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to your team, helping them grow in their careers. You’ll also be involved in crisis management, safeguarding, and ensuring all support plans are delivered effectively.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: You’ve got experience in supported living or a similar environment and have a solid understanding of CQC/CIW regulations.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in Health and Social Care, with a willingness to complete Level 5. Experience in Health and Safety is also a plus (we’ll support you in completing the IOSH course).
  • Drive & Passion: You’re motivated, adaptable, and genuinely care about making a difference. You’re comfortable leading a team and handling challenges with a positive, proactive approach.
  • Full Driving License: You’ll need a valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle to travel between our sites.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Competitive Pay & Benefits: Competitive salary with clear career progression. If you're Level 5 qualified, there’s a great salary package on offer!
  • Career Development: We invest in you! Paid training, qualifications, and development opportunities – we’re all about helping you level up your career.
  • Work-Life Balance: 5.6 weeks annual leave to keep you recharged, plus flexible overtime options.
  • Perks & Discounts: Access to discounts with high street retailers, on holidays, and even for car purchases through the Blue Light Card. Plus, we cover your DBS check!
  • Supportive Environment: You’ll be part of a supportive and inclusive team that values your ideas. Regular supervisions and team meetings ensure you have everything you need to succeed.
  • Impactful Work: Make a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable adults. This isn’t just a job – it’s a chance to be a leader in a growing, values-driven organization.

If you’re a driven professional ready to take the next step in your career and lead a team that truly cares, we’d love to hear from you!
