Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Deputy Manager - RGN for Barnet Grange Care Home in Barnet. You will lead the staff team, oversee clinical governance, and ensure high standards of resident care with compassion and professionalism.

You must hold a current NMC PIN and nursing qualification, with at least two years in a management role in a care setting. DBS check is required and the cost will be met by Avery.

Qualifications

• NMC PIN must be current and valid.
• Minimum of two years' management experience in a care setting.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership and management to staff.
• Ensure medication policies and procedures are followed and assist with medication reviews.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and update care plans as needed.
• Complete monthly audits and quality indicator reports, and other required reports.
• Attend weekly clinical meetings and monitor clinical risk areas in the home.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Other responsibilities will include:

• Providing on-going inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
• Ensuring that medication policies and procedures are adhered to and support with the reviewing of medication and administration.
• Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans.
• Completing monthly audits, quality indicator report and any other report as required.
• Attending weekly clinical meetings and monitor clinical risk areas in the home.

ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidate must:

• Have a current and valid NMC PIN and a nursing qualification
• Have a minimum of two years experience working in a similar care environment, in a management position.
• Have excellent leadership and management skills.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and be competent in use of IT systems.
• Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
