Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Grade: H scp 27 £37,035 to scp 31 £40,476 plus 7% enhancement and Essential Car User Allowance up to £963pa
Contract: Permanent, 24/7 service
Essential Requirement: Full UK Driving Licence
Essential Qualification: NVQ Level 3 and an Introduction to Management qualification

The Role
We are looking to recruit a deputy manager for a 4 bedded childrens home.
The role is to assist the RM in day to day operations of the home including deputising for the manager in their absence. The role involves ensuring the welfare and care of children is of the highest standard in line with current legislation, leading to positive outcomes, assisting them into adult life.
You will provide guidance and supervision/ support to residential staff and manage aspects of the home, as directed by the RM.
You will also be part of the wider management team across the service and take part in a duty manager on call system.
You will take part in monthly Reg 44 visits and yearly Ofsted inspections.

About You
We are looking for a deputy manager or experienced worker wanting to progress into management, who has proven skills and experience in a childrens home or similar setting and is passionate about improving the lives and outcomes for children and young people in out care and places them at the centre of decisions/planning. You must be able to communicate with young people their families and other professionals, be flexible/adaptable, resilient, and have a calm approachable manner.
