We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join a Residential Children's Home based in Redhill. The salary is up to £40,000 depending on qualifications and experience. The role is Monday to Friday, 9-18, plus one weekend day per month. This is a highly rewarding role with many benefits.

You will be a key part of the leadership team, supporting children to lead meaningful and happy lives. Your responsibilities include supporting their physical, mental, and social needs, building strong personal relationships, providing managerial leadership, and ensuring the effective operation of the home. You will undertake assessments, planning, and evaluations of care needs, facilitate meetings, supervise staff, support recruitment, and ensure compliance with safeguarding, Ofsted, and legal requirements.

**Person Specification:**

  • Relevant health or social care qualification (NVQ Level 4 or 5) or other professional qualifications.
  • Management experience within a registered children’s home environment.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in supervising staff and resource management.
  • Ability to conduct holistic needs and risk assessments.
  • Commitment to promoting choice, personalised support, and rights of people with disabilities.
  • IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and record-keeping abilities.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with service users, families, and professionals.
  • Confidence in staff training and development.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and use initiative to solve problems.
