Salary: £34,500–£35,750 per year (includes 60 contracted sleep-ins annually)

We’re excited to welcome applications for the role of Deputy Manager at our thriving Children’s Home in Redditch! With the home recently opened, we are looking for an experienced and passionate individual to join our supportive and dynamic team. The Role

As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth running of our home. You’ll help lead and inspire a team that’s dedicated to delivering high-quality, child-centred care, enabling our young people to achieve the best possible outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the team in meeting the health, social, and educational needs of children.
  • Implement safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Foster positive relationships with external partners and the local community.
  • Oversee care plans, staff supervisions, and professional development.
  • Manage daily operations, including staff rotas, recruitment, budgeting, and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
  • Lead with enthusiasm and ensure a nurturing, stimulating environment for children and staff alike.

What We’re Looking For

  • Passionate about working with children with learning disabilities.
  • Experienced in residential childcare (at least two of the last five years in a relevant role).
  • Qualified with a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Knowledgeable about Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted.
  • Skilled in team management and able to communicate effectively.
  • Flexible, with the ability to work shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins.
