Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions is seeking a Deputy Manager-Pilot Plant to supervise and coordinate all production activities during the assigned shift in our UK facility. You will ensure safe operations, quality compliance, production targets, and adherence to procedures.

You will allocate manpower, supervise operators and technicians, conduct shift briefings, monitor process parameters, maintain records, and drive continuous improvements to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

• M.Sc in Chemistry or Diploma in Chemical Engg or B.E/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
• Above 8 years of plant operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all production activities during the shift.
• Allocate manpower effectively based on production requirements.
• Supervise operators and technicians during the shift.
• Conduct shift briefing and communicate production priorities.
• Identify training needs and provide on-the-job guidance.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to approved specifications and batch records.
• Monitor critical process parameters and quality checkpoints.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and permit systems.
• Ensure proper use of PPE by all shift personnel.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in production areas.
• Complete production records, logbooks, and shift reports accurately.
• Record production output, downtime, deviations, and resource consumption.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify abnormalities.
• Ensure proper equipment cleaning and readiness for production.
• Support productivity, quality, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
