We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join a dedicated team supporting individuals with complex learning disabilities across two residential homes, supporting a total of 11 people.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious care professional to play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the services, working closely with the Registered Manager and wider leadership team to ensure the people we support receive outstanding, person-centred care.
Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day running of both services
- Lead, coach and motivate colleagues to deliver high-quality, person-centred support
- Help ensure the people we support receive safe, compassionate and empowering care
- Support the implementation of quality and governance processes and contribute to continuous improvement
- Assist with audits, care planning, safeguarding and compliance activity
- Build positive relationships with families, professionals and the wider community
- Support the Registered Manager with recruitment, induction, supervision and performance management
- Create a positive and empowering culture where colleagues feel valued and the people we support can flourish
- Step up and take responsibility for the services in the Registered Manager’s absence
Qualifications
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, with Level 5 desirable or a willingness to work towards it
Required Skills
- Strong experience in operational and people management within health and social care
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex needs
- A good understanding of CQC standards and quality care delivery
- A valid UK driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally
- A genuine passion for quality care and the ability to lead by example
