Job description

Job summary: Working within a dynamic and fast pace team, delivering Person Centred Short Breaks. Ensure the service operates in a safe, effective & efficient way as part of the whole system of Learning Disability services. Foster a culture that encourages and enables individuals to have an active role in identifying, planning and meeting their individual needs.

Provide leadership and role modelling to the staff team through supervision and actively participate in the smooth running of the service over a 24 hour period.

Providing leadership and managerial support to the Home Manager of the Home from Home Short Breaks Service, which supports over 30 individuals with complex needs.

Essential:

  • A clinical qualification to degree level - RNLD/RMN, Diploma level 5 in health/social care or equivalent experience and willingness to complete on commencement

Desirable:

  • Membership of a professional body (NMC)

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a leadership role within Learning Disabilities
