Job summary

Jigsaw is seeking a warm, passionate Deputy Manager to join our Kensington store on a 40-hour week contract. You will support the Store Manager in driving profitability, leading a team, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced fashion environment.

You’ll work closely with the Store Manager to analyse sales, forecast demand, and implement effective staffing, stock levels and promotions. A friendly, customer-focused approach and strong organisational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing all areas of the store P&L to within budget levels and drive profitability.
• Assist in recruitment, retention, development and deployment of the store team.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to motivate team to hit sales targets and improve efficiencies.
• Analyse sales figures and forecast future volumes to set staffing, stock and promotions accordingly.
• Utilise sales data to manage staff and maximise merchandising and add-on opportunities.
• Ensure promotions and merchandising instructions are executed to standard.
• Support Store Manager in ensuring compliance with stock, cash security and all procedures.
• Undertake other duties as identified by the Retail Store Manager.

What you’ll be doing

• Effectively assist in managing all areas of the store P&L to within allocated budget levels, ensuring Store profitability
• To assist in the effective Recruitment, retention, development, performance management and deployment of the Store team
• To work alongside the Store Manager to motivate the store team to achieve sales targets and maximise efficiencies
• Helping the Store Manager to analyse sales figures and forecast future sales volumes setting appropriate staffing levels, stock holding levels and promotional activity in order to maximise profit
• To make use of sales data provided by the Store Manager to manage store staff in to achieve all merchandising and add on sales opportunities;
• Ensure that promotions, sales and merchandising instructions provided by the Store Manager are carried out to expected standards
• To delegate for the Store Manager ensuring that the store complies with requirements in all areas of operational activity, policy and procedure with specific regard to stock and cash security
• To undertake any other reasonable duties identified by the Retail Store Manager
