Kelvinside Manor, opening December 2024, located in the prestigious West End of Glasgow, is a luxurious care home offering top-tier nursing, dementia, and respite care. As a new addition to the esteemed Meallmore group, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional, personalised care in an elegant and modern environment.

    Role Overview:

    We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Deputy Home Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you’llhave the chance to really make your mark from the very start. This is a fantastic opportunity, working closely with the home manager to shape a brand-new service, leading the creation of a nurturing and professional environment for both colleagues and residents. You will be implementing our corporate standards, policies, and innovative care practices, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with all regulatory requirements and step in as the acting Home Manager in their absence.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Provide strong leadership and direction to the care home staff, promoting our philosophy of care and ensuring adherence to Meallmore’s values and mission.
  • Quality Care Delivery: Oversee and maintain high-quality care standards, ensuring all residents receive personalised and compassionate care.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure the care home meets all statutory and regulatory requirements, including health and safety and security protocols.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting Kelvinside Manor within the local community.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous professional development and improvement among staff, supporting their growth and performance.
  • Clinical Oversight: Provide clinical oversight at the care home level, ensuring the implementation of best practices and the latest care techniques.
  • On-Call Duties: Be available for on-call duties as needed, ensuring smooth operation and continuity of care.
  • Qualifications & Experience:

  • Professional qualification equivalent to degree level or a management qualification
  • Nursing qualification (desirable)
  • Proven management experience in a care setting
  • Full driving license (desirable)
