A reputable and established residential children s services provider is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and driven Deputy Manager to help co-manage a specialist EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) Children s Home in Virginia Water.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or a Senior/Team Leader ready to take the next step in their career and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

What We re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a children s residential setting or a Team Leader with strong leadership experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted standards and Children s Homes Regulations.
  • A passion for supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential; Level 5 or willingness to work towards it is desirable.

Key Responsibilities of the Deputy Manager:

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for children and young people.
  • Lead and supervise a team of residential support workers, including rota planning and staff development.
  • Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
  • Ensure the home remains compliant with Ofsted regulations and maintains high-quality care standards.
  • Participate in inspections, audits, and reviews.
  • Liaise with professionals, families, and external agencies to support each young person s care journey.
  • Take on the lead role in the absence of the Registered Manager.
