Job summary

As the Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead (RN) at Barchester Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care in a Barchester care home. You will work closely with the General Manager, taking on leadership responsibilities in their absence, and inspire a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible quality of life for every resident. Your strong clinical and people management skills will be crucial in driving improvements, monitoring standards, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the care home. You will help ensure care standards are met, motivate your team, and lead by example. This will involve conducting regular audits, supervising clinical practice, and overseeing safeguarding investigations and risk assessments. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to achieve the home's goals.

About you

To join us, you'll need to be a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification. Experience with residents with diverse health needs, safeguarding investigations, and clinical risk assessments is essential. We also value HR experience, knowledge of sales and marketing, budget management skills, and experience supporting newly qualified nurses. You should be compassionate, resilient, and committed to delivering quality care in an engaging environment.
