Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead in Wales to support delivery of exceptional care. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, conduct audits, and ensure regulatory compliance while stepping in for the General Manager when needed.

The role requires an RN/RMN with NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring qualification, plus experience in safeguarding, HR, and budget management. You’ll drive quality care in a dynamic, resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration and teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification.
• Experience in helping residents with varying health needs and safeguarding investigations.
• HR experience, strong knowledge of sales and marketing, budget management, and preceptorship support for newly qualified nurses.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high-quality care and standards in the home.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, audit standards, and monitor regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement strategies, mentor staff, and cover leadership duties in the General Manager’s absence.
