Overview

Deputy Manager (Clinical) – Ashley Park Care Home, The Street, West Clandon, Guildford, GU4 7SU. CQC rating: Good. Permanent – 42 hours per week (24 hours supernumerary*, 18 hours on the floor 8am-8pm & 8am-2pm). Salary up to £54,905 per annum – Depending on experience.

Role – Clinical Deputy Manager, Ashley Park Care Home

Contract – Permanent

Location – Ashley Park Care Home, The Street, West Clandon, Guildford, GU4 7SU

Shift pattern – Monday to Friday; occasional night visits or weekend work may be required.

Role responsibilities

  • Overseeing and assisting all aspects of nursing care/activities within the home.
  • With the help of your team, create and update individual care plans for residents, maintaining clear, accurate and up-to-date medication records.
  • Ensure adequate staffing is always maintained within the home.
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance to the team – promoting residents' independence, choice and dignity.
  • Build lasting relationships with residents and their families, and foster a sense of community within the home.
  • Create and develop strong relationships with local partners; liaise with them to raise the care home’s profile in the local area and beyond.

  • You hold a valid UK NMC pin and stay committed to the NMC Codes of Conduct & professional development.
  • You understand the impact of quality nursing care on residents’ lives, promoting independence, choice and dignity.
  • You stay up to date with tissue viability, infection control, and care planning.
  • You can build relationships, lead, mentor, and manage a team effectively.
  • You are excellent at prioritising tasks and working efficiently as a compassionate team player.
