Clinical Deputy Manager

Puttenham Hill House Care Home, Puttenham, Off Hogs Back, Guildford, GU3 1AH. Carehome.co.uk rating: 9.8 / 10.

Up to £53,851 Depending on experience.

Permanent - 40 hours per week. (22 hours supernumerary*).

Monday to Friday - Three 6-hour shifts, 7am-1pm.

Occasional night visits or weekend work may be required.

Puttenham Hill House Bupa Care Home has an experienced Home Manager, facilities provided are residential, nursing care, respite and short stay, Parkinson’s, recovery post op and palliative care.

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  1. Overseeing and assisting all aspects of nursing care/activities within the home.
  2. Creating and updating individual care plans for our residents, maintaining clear, accurate and up-to-date medication records.
  3. Ensuring adequate staffing is always maintained within the home.
  4. Providing day to day support and guidance to the team - promoting our residents' independence, choice, and dignity.
  5. Building lasting relationships with the residents and the people they care about, as well as caring about the home itself - fostering a sense of community.
  6. Creating and developing strong relationships with local partners to raise the care home’s profile in the local area and beyond.

Key Skills and Qualifications Required:

  1. You hold a valid UK NMC pin and stay committed to the NMC Codes of Conduct & professional development.
  2. You understand the impact of quality nursing care on residents’ lives, promoting independence, choice, and dignity.
  3. You stay up to date with tissue viability, infection control, and care planning.
  4. You can build relationships, lead, mentor, and manage a team effectively.
  5. You are excellent at prioritising tasks and working efficiently as a compassionate team player.
