Deputy Manager - Residential Children Services.

Permanent role, 40 hours per week with generous salary plus benefits.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the service.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Support the development and implementation of care plans for children and young people.

  • Supervise and mentor staff, promoting a positive and professional working environment.

  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance team performance.

  • Manage and maintain accurate records and documentation in line with legal requirements.

  • Engage with external stakeholders, including families and local authorities.

  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff.

  • Promote a culture of safeguarding and ensure the welfare of all children and young people.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People or equivalent.

  • Experience in a supervisory role within children services.

  • Strong leadership and management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in residential children services.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and foster positive relationships.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

  • Knowledge of OFSTED guidelines and legislation

  • Be flexible to work Mon - Fri and on shift where required.
