DEPUTY MANAGER

We require a Deputy Manager to oversee the daily running of our Ofsted Registered Children's home Service which is located in the Scarisbrick:
  • It is essential that the successful candidate has Knowledge of the Ofsted Regulations and they have 3 years of experience working with Children or Young People within a residential environment and this must include 2 years at a senior level.
  • Its required they have a minimum of a Level 4 Diploma in Children's Residential Services or working towards and have experience in supervising staff, attending formal meetings and preparing formal reports. They must have the ability to participate in on-call rotas and take out-of-hours calls as requirement.
  • A Full UK Driving License is required.
  • Note this is a working role and will require you to be on shift with a sleep-in duty.
  • This job may lead to a full-time management opportunity for the right candidate!
  • Applicants must be aged 21+.

Job Details:
Duties include:
  • Devising staff rota's and managing staff cover when needed.
  • Preparing and coordinating care plans and risk assessments.
  • Chairing staff meetings.
  • Holding staff supervisions and appraisals.
  • Take on support shifts when required.
  • Medication Management.
  • Handling petty cash and managing budges.
  • Working alongside senior staff to provide Person-Centred support plans for the individual.
  • Participating in training and being responsible for own development.
  • Carrying out regular audits of files within the home.
