Salutem Care & Education is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to lead a children's residential home and support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care.

You will lead staff, safeguard children, ensure regulatory compliance, and embed best practice across safeguarding, education, wellbeing, and outcomes. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with families, social workers, and partners.

Formación

• Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Commitment to completing Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification (if not already achieved).
• Experience with children and young people in residential, care, education or similar setting.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the home to maintain high standards of care and compliance.
• Deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
• Lead shifts and ensure safety, wellbeing and engagement of children and young people.
• Provide guidance and supervision to Staff.
• Contribute to staff recruitment, development and performance management.
• Deliver reflective supervision and appraisals.
• Embed trauma-informed practice across the home.
• Oversee daily operations and ensure accurate records and reporting.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and effective care planning.
• Manage health, safety and risk, ensuring a safe environment.
• Support partnership working with families, social workers and authorities.
