Job summary

Care & Support Services is opening a new registered children’s home in Cannock, designed to provide therapeutic, consistent, and emotionally secure care for young people with complex needs. We are seeking a Deputy Manager to help lead the development of this new home from the beginning—embedding structure, culture, and high standards.

You will support the Registered Manager in creating a safe and nurturing home where therapeutic care is embedded in daily practice, and you will guide the home

  • Lead care teams and model trauma-informed interactions
  • Assist with rotas, training, audits, and internal systems
  • Act as a key point of contact for professionals, families, and young people
  • Guide the home through ongoing registration, compliance, and placement readiness
  • Mentor junior staff and ensure a positive team culture
  • Ensure consistent, compassionate responses to behaviour, communication, and emotional needs
