Location: Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire, YO16 7PE
Shifts: Full-time 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9am-5pm)
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Role Overview
Person-led Care
- Support adults with complex mental health conditions.
- Respond to mental health needs promoting recovery.
- Safeguard those we support and help to prevent relapse.
- Empower the people we support to be ambitious and live fulfilled lives.
- Provide high-quality support tailored to people's needs.
- Lead one of our teams, inspiring them to be the best they can be.
- Manage the service when the manager is away, creating a culture that allows for learning and fun.
- Carry out audits for the Registered Manager and ensure feedback and improvements are implemented.
- Follow our procedures to provide consistent, safe, and reliable care and support.
- Work collaboratively with people we support to design and plan services.
- Help create and monitor care plans to ensure safe practices.
- Support people to develop life skills, make choices, and reach their potential for independence.
- Encourage participation in social, leisure, educational, and employment activities.
- Communicate in a clear and suitable way.
Great Planning & Leadership
- Organise and coordinate the assessment of care plans.
- Supervise team tasks as requested by your manager.
- Assess and support your team to deliver quality care.
- Solve problems and delegate tasks effectively.
- Process finances and manage medication orders.
- Ensure participation in activity plans.
- Coach the team to demonstrate understanding and commitment to the rights of people with complex needs.
- Manage attendance, leave, and absences; authorise time sheets.
- Plan rotas to meet service standards.
- Work with your manager on challenges regarding cover, attendance, or conduct.
Deliver Great Standards
- Provide personal care including support with continence, health and medication needs.
- Ensure all medical needs are met and advocate for individuals' needs.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Manage behaviours using established strategies and procedures.
- Handle personal and financial affairs with integrity.
- Look after personal property and report any needs to your manager.
- Maintain financial records.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
- Report accidents or illnesses immediately.
- Report any hazards or faulty equipment.
- Administer medication after training and handle medical emergencies appropriately.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the organisation.
Work as a Team
- Review care plans and documentation as required.
- Share information with approved individuals for coordinated care.
- Collaborate with health professionals and authorities.
- Work closely with local MDT and partner organisations.
- Take responsibility for running a shift in the absence of senior colleagues.
- Lead team reviews of service delivery standards.
- Protect individuals from abuse by following safeguarding policies.
- Complete training and create a plan for ongoing development.
- Share domestic tasks to support service operations.
- Share responsibility for shopping and meal preparation.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully.

The main skills and experience for this role
Essential
- Experience in mental health services with diverse needs.
- Able to respond to mental health relapse and safeguarding concerns.
- Good partnership working across Multi-disciplinary teams.
- Flexible to work shifts Monday to Sunday.
- Resilient in complex environments.
- Skilled in promoting recovery and social inclusion.
- Excellent communicator with stakeholders.
- Good general education.
- Confident IT user.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks.
- Satisfactory Police Check and ISA List check (if applicable).
- Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and a passion to make a difference.
- Commitment to ongoing training and development.
- Commitment to the service's aims and objectives.
- Level 2 RQF in Health and Social Care.
Desirable
- RQF Level 3 or above in social care (or willingness to achieve within a set timeframe).
- Mandatory training qualifications (e.g., fire safety, first aid, food hygiene).
