Orchard Healthcare Group is seeking a Deputy Manager for Thornton Hall & Lodge, Crosby (L23 1UB). The role covers day-to-day operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality care for residents, including those living with dementia.

Deputy Manager

Thornton Hall & Lodge is a bright, spacious, purpose-built 96-bed home providing high-quality residential, dementia, and short-stay care. Rated 'Good' by the CQC, our home offers warmth, excellent standards, and a strong commitment to dignity, independence, and choice. Our dedicated team provides high-quality care for older adults, including those living with dementia, with compassion, dignity, and respect. We are currently seeking a dedicatedDeputy Manager to support the Home Manager in the daily running of the home and to help lead our team with professionalism and empathy.

Location: Thornton Lodge and Hall - L23 1UB

Deputy Manager - 40 hrs per week

Rates of Pay / Salary: £35,000 -38,000 per annum

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

We're seeking someone who is:

• Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a larger care home, or in a leadership role within a care setting.
• Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.
• Strong understanding of CQC standards, DoLS, and the Mental Capacity Act (MCA).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, remain organised, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• A compassionate, resident-focused approach, with a strong commitment to promoting dignity and independence.
