Job summary

Kids Planet Penwortham is seeking a Deputy Manager to help run the nursery and support children in a caring, engaging environment. You will collaborate closely with the manager to deliver high-quality care, EYFS activities, and safe practices, ensuring families feel supported and involved.

You will lead a team, mentor staff, and uphold safeguarding standards while promoting a positive culture across the setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Level 3 early years qualification.
• Excellent understanding of EYFS.
• Extensive safeguarding knowledge.
• Proven leadership experience in a nursery setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the nursery alongside the manager.
• Build warm, trusting relationships with families and collaborate with external agencies for child wellbeing.
• Lead and support the nursery team, ensure children's safety, and bring EYFS principles to life in engaging ways.

How you'll make a difference as a Deputy Manager:

• Through working alongside the manager to help with all areas of running the nursery, making sure everything runs smoothly day to day.
• By building warm, trusting relationships with families and work together with outside agencies to support each child's growth and wellbeing.
• Guiding and support the nursery team, keeping children safe at all times and bringing the EYFS to life in a way that’s fun, engaging, and meets all requirements.

What a Deputy Manager Needs

• Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification.
• Excellent understanding of EYFS.
• Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.
• Leadership experience within a nursery setting.
