Salvation Army Homes is hiring a deputy manager for our supported accommodation service in Preston, overseeing a 16–24-year-old cohort and reporting to the service manager. The role is on a 12-month fixed term contract with a focus on safeguarding, partnerships, and service delivery excellence.
You will lead a cross-disciplinary team, drive goals, and ensure OFSTED-compliant practice while supporting staff and residents in a values-led environment.
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated deputy manager, on a 12 month fixed term contract, to help deliver the goals and vision of our high standard supported accommodation service. The service is for 16–24-year-olds who have either experienced homelessness or are moving on from a children’s home setting.
The deputy manager will support the service manager in creating and maintaining the necessary structures and culture, to allow the young people and staff team to thrive.
The role is primarily based at the Merriweather site, though as we operate two sites, there may be occasion to work at our Preston Foyer site. The post is principally Monday-Friday, though some weekend and/or evening work may be required, as per needs of the service.
