Person Specification
  • NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of leading and motivating teams
  • Knowledge of EYFS Curriculum
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
  • Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role
Responsibilities
  • To support the Nursery Manager in creating and maintaining a culture of self-evaluation and reflective practice throughout the nursery
  • To deploy staff effectively to ensure the required standards are maintained
  • To ensure all staff understand and comply with all nursery policy and procedures
  • To lead the team and support in EYFS planning and ensure children s development records are maintained
  • To carry our regular staff supervisions and coordinate staff meetings
  • To support the Nursery Manager with recruiting, inducting, supporting, training and appraising all staff to deliver high quality childcare practice
  • To promote diversity and equal opportunity
  • To work in partnership with parents forming caring and trusting relationships
  • To ensure professionalism and confidentiality at all times
  • To support the Nursery Manager in making sure all complaints/concerns are actively resolved in a timely manner
